What is in a name...? For Halo Equine Center's newest addition it is a rebirth, a chance to start fresh & leave behind a hellish past. Starved, neglected, & abused our newest pony was abandoned and left for dead in a gravel pit after receiving two gunshot wounds. Our gratitude to & appreciation for Misty Newman is immeasurable. Misty accepted the task of bringing this girl back to health and has chosen, not only to place this animal, who despite her torturous past still enjoys the company of humans & clearly loves children, with us but also has made a gift to the center of some pony tack as well. And so, we have decided that a new name for a new life is required. We took the 5 name suggestions we liked best and then counted the votes on our Facebook page. Phoenix was the winning name!

We're thinking Pixie is bred! This fun pony was spent some time with a beautiful palomino Sec. A Welsh stud from our sister farm in Bagley, MN this last summer getting bred for a foal spring 2018. Stay tuned for the new little arrival!
